Air Leakage Testing

Building Analysis and Testing Ltd are accredited by UKAS to carry out air leakage testing in accordance with CIBSE TM23: 2000, BS EN 13829: 2001 and of course all of the ATTMA Testing Standards.  


We are experienced in advising and testing to current Passivhaus Standards and have tested products and samples for airtightness, such as concrete blocks, cement boards and roof hatches.

BAT also Air Test Floor Voids to confirm that air is being delivered to the occupied space and not lost to other areas.

Fire Integrity Tests to Gas Extinguishing protected areas to BS EN 15001. Air tests to Cleanrooms to confirm their air tightness; HBN04 Air Tests to Isolation Rooms and Air Tests to builderswork Smoke Shafts to confirm staircase smoke pressurisation and/or extraction fans will operate effectively.    


We are ATTMA Members and all our staff test to the ATTMA Standards and Test Certificates for all projects will be uploaded onto the ATTMA Lodgement Database where they can be viewed and downloaded by Building Control and SAP Assessors. See for more information.  

Flats to Warehouses...

BAT have the equipment and knowledge to perform air leakage testing in the smallest flat up to the largest of Warehouses. We also pride ourselves that should your building fail to achieve the necessary air tightness our experienced trained staff endeavour to track and identify the problems and retest often at no additional cost whilst we are at site in order to achieve a satisfactory result.
